PHONE/VIDEO-ZOOM SESSIONS
Therapy conducted in English or Spanish
Our initial 30 minute free consultation will always be conducted over the phone. Due to Covid-19 and Shelter-In-Place Orders, all therapy sessions are currently offered via Zoom. The only requirement is that you find a place that is comfortable and offers you enough privacy for the duration of the session. Under special circumstances, I am willing to meet outdoors, if we agree to maintain 6ft apart and wear masks. It is solely upon your request.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
I offer a free initial consultation, over the phone or in the office where we discuss your needs and how I can be of assistance. During this consultation, we will discuss my practices limits of confidentiality, HIPAA protocol and the fee.
FEE
My fee will be mutually agreed upon at the time of our initial consultation. I accept Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, cash, and credit cards in the form of Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
SLIDING SCALE
I can appreciate that people have different economic situations and I take that into consideration. Â I offer a limited amount of spots in my practice at a sliding scale. The fee per session will be mutually agreed upon at the time of our initial consultation.
INSURANCE
If you have insurance, I am what is called an out-of-network provider. I am accepted by all health insurance carriers who have out-of-network mental health benefits. Please consult your insurance provider to see if you are covered.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHICH THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES DO YOU USE?
As a psychotherapist, my work is influenced by both my training and my personality. My training covers a variety of theoretical models, such as Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment Theory, Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing,  Psychodynamic, Humanistic models. Our beliefs, how we relate to people, our culture and our patterns inform the treatment as much as the theories I've studied and other theories I continue to explore.  I use experience, discovery, and unconditional positive regard of my clients to continue to develop my own particular voice.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT A WELLNESS WALK..
A Wellness Walk is a mind-body oriented therapy that can help a client achieve heightened self-awareness, emotional awareness and other positive therapy outcomes more quickly and easily.  It takes the therapy off the couch and moving outside in the fresh air where clients will release physical tension, breathe deeply and stop ruminating while processing experiences in a genuinely different way.  Face-to-face in office therapy can be a confrontational experience for some clients.  These sessions can help release stress, alleviate feelings of depression and anxiety, regulate mood, sleep deeply and more.  It is one step closer to a more authentic self.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
In-office sessions for individual therapy typically run 50 minutes. Wellness Walk individual therapy will run 60 minutes to account for the "unexpected" in the outside world. Couples and Family session will run 75 minutes and can go up to 90 minutes depending on the need.
IS MY ONLY OPTIONÂ FOR THERAPY A WELLNESS WALK?
Absolutely not. Wellness Walks require an initial assessment session conducted via online therapy or in office. When we schedule our appointments, we will discuss the type of session you would like to do: in-office, online or Wellness Walks. Due to Shelter-In-Place guidelines, in-office sessions have been suspended until SIP is lifted.
I DON'T WANT TO SWEAT! AND WHAT IF IT RAINS?
We will pace the walk to your needs.  If you want a bit of a work out, we can walk faster, if you don't want to sweat, we can slow the pace.  I meet all my client where they are and adjust to their needs.  If it rains, we can meet in the office, or in a dry, private location where you feel comfortable to talk. During our initial session, we will discuss all the options.
I HAVE A QUESTION I DON'T SEE IN YOUR FAQ!
